Are You Truly Happy?

Sin (disobeying a holy God) brings a life of temporary pleasure but eventual unhappiness and failure, and finally death because it separates us from the Lord and His blessings. (James 1:15 “…sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”)

However, through Jesus dying in our place on the cross we are offered a life of love, joy and peace (Galatians 5:22); an abundant life (John 10:10) and it’s all free!

Look what God said that He would do for us through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32)

Admit you can’t truly succeed without Jesus; that he alone has the power to conquer sin. (Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned…”)

Believe that Jesus came from heaven, was virgin born, lived sinless, died on the cross for the sins of the world, rose from the dead and sits on heaven’s throne. (I Corinthians 15:3-4 “…Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”)

Confess with your mouth and in your heart that Jesus is the Lord; that you give Him control of your life. (Romans 10:9-10 “…if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”)

You can submit to Christ’ authority and then become His responsibility. OR you can live as your own authority and remain your own responsibility.

By submitting to Christ, your entire future, including going to heaven when you die, will be new. You will be freely given all that one needs to have a fulfilling life that honors God. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

The only real challenge you face is the Devil’s lies. (John 8:44 “…he is a liar, and the father of it.”) This is his only power over you. But he is very good at deception.

The truth is that when you received Jesus the Lord into your life as your new Lord and Savior, God’s own Spirit moved inside of you to give you all the power you need to fulfill your purpose in this life. (1 John 4:4 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”)

The purpose of our church is to teach you the bible truth and to provide friendship with others who are learning so that you can have the tools to combat the devil’s lie and live the wonderful life God has prepared for you. 1 Timothy 3:15 says the church is supposed to be the pillar and ground of the truth.

Decide you are going to church (God’s house) to learn all you can from God’s word, the Bible, so you can do the things He wants you to do. If you’ve truly given Jesus control of your life joining a bible teaching church is not optional. (Romans 10:14 “…how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Acts 2:47 “And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” Matthew 7:24 “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:” Hebrews 10:25 “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;”)
