I have just received word from our contact in Syria and have good news to pass along to you.  In their words, “everyone is fine and dandy and happy”.  (I can’t think of a better way to tell you the good news then to just quote them.)   We already have a doctor looking at Pastor George’s teenage daughter and will know more tomorrow. She was understandably shaken but said to our man, “You told me you would not leave me alone and you kept your word”. The truth is, YOU  kept our word to her by your generous gifts. Thank you for upholding the name of Christ. You have saved the lives of five mature Believers who will bring hundreds to Christ.  It was prophesied that Christ would “set the captives free” and just like His brothers and sisters, you have emulated His work by freeing these five in His name.

Tomorrow or Friday we will have a medical update as to what it will take to heal their wounds and perhaps some details of the captivity. I will keep you informed. Until then, we give our praise to God and our thanks to you. And if you meant to give and did not, don’t worry, you’ll have another chance – of that I am sure. We’re in this conflict for the duration and every war has it’s causalities. Sooner or later they will touch closer to home.

This is a night for good news and rejoicing and praising the name of Christ in your church and with your family. Let’s praise Him for, “The Lord has done great things for us, whereof we are glad”.

Oh by the way, one more bit of good news. Wasim came out of his coma yesterday and was released to go home today. He is safe with his family and recuperating from his many surgeries. All over the Middle East the Brothers and Sisters are rejoicing and the phone lines are burning up with spreading the good news. We had a battle on two fronts at the same time and God gave us the victory with both of them. The only thing that could make this day better would be the sound of the trumpet!
